An American national has embarked on a mission to raise money for a Nairobi orphanage by using his goat.

The man identified as Steve Wescott started his journey across North America accompanied by Leeroy, his goat to assist the Uzima outreach orphanage located along Mbagathi way in Nairobi. 

The Seattle native has so far assisted the charity organization raise over Sh10 million which was used to buy land meant for expansion of the orphanage which has over 30 orphans and drug addicts. 

The organization which was started by Wescott's friend is in need of Sh20million to fund several projects. 

Wescott while addressing several media outlets in the States said that his final point will New York's Times Square. So far he has completed about 10, 000km with his goat which is the second one. 

The first goat that started the journey died and as honour, Wescott carries around its ashes 

"You walk around with a goat and you are going get a lot of attention and people often take pictures and post them online," said Wescott on the attention he receives.
