According to reports, the forces killed a Kenyan trainer who was also being targeted by the police. Sheikh Mansur was on the list of the most wanted terrorist by police. He was gunned down on Tuesday along five other commanders in Lower Shabbele, Somalia.

The commanders are said to be among top leaders in the Al-Shabaab forces. Brigadier General Sam Okiding revealed that the death of the six commanders brings the total number of commanders killed in one week to seven.

In April 2, the AMISOM forces killed one commander who was identified as Abdirashir Bugube in Janale. The Brigadier said that the wars on Al-Shabaab will not stop.

This comes after the international community like the United States promised to help Kenya in fighting the militia group. The US killed many Al-Shabaab fighters in a well coordinated attack using a air strike. The other international communities revealed that the only way to overpower the Al-Shabaab militia group was by carrying out constant attacks against them. They said this will weaken the forces making them not able to attack innocent people.
