According to analyst Andrew Nyabuto, Ms Chebet’s ‘zero experience’ in politics will not add much value to Kinuthia’s team.

“She has never been a serious contender. She is a green-horn in politics, she is only 26, hence, made a mistake of jumping from the frying pan into the fire,” Nyabuto said.

Chebet opted out of John Mututho’s camp sighting neglect of her backyard by the former Nacada chairman.

Ms Chebet, who hails from Kuresoi, claimed that her former boss said he did not need votes from the region in order for him to win the gubernatorial race.
