Political analyst Barrack Muluka has attacked Deputy President William Ruto and Leader of Majority in the National Assembly Aden Duale for protecting those accused of embezzling public funds.
Speaking on JKL show, Muluka said that the two are among the reasons Jubilee has failed. He was reffering to the stand the Garissa Township MP took when the NYS scandal was unearthed before retreating after the matter started to be too complex even for the president.
“DP William Ruto and Aden Duale protect looters of public funds. People who have mismanaged public funds are being given opportunities to sanctify themselves. In fact Uhuru and Ruto should not seek re-election. What are they being re-elected for?” Muluka asked.
The analyst also opined that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy do not have the moral consent to ask Kenyans for a second term in office.
He wondered about what they will promise to deliver in the next five years after unyielding four years in power. There have been several corruption cases that have forced some donors to withdraw their funding.
There are also aspirants who have been cleared by Jubilee to contest for public offices come August 8th but PLO, who was cohosted with Muluka, sees this as a violation of democracy.
He mentioned Ann Waiguru as an unfit candidate despite not being found guilty by a court of law. She has been handed a Jubilee ticket to contest in Kirinyaga gubernatorial race.
