Political analyst Gabriel Muthuma has clarified the only way Jubilee government can remain in power come 2022 general elections.
Speaking during a radio interview on Hot 96 FM, Muthuma said that unless the Jubilee government remains united, fulfill their promises and fight the corruption menace, they will not serve another term.
“For 2022, their strength lies on three things, their unity, their big four agenda and third if they are able to fight corruption. If they do not get those three things properly and finally constituted, they will lose this game,” said the analyst.
He added that even though 2022 will be the politics of money, Jubilee performance will be a major determination whether they will get back to state house or not.
“2022 will be a money thing, we have so many governors coming out, those that will not run for another term and most of these people they have colour. If they continue to be united and they hold the bid four what they promised Kenyans I guarantee you, William Ruto or whoever the candidate will be, it would be an easy transition into the state house,” said Muthuma.
His speech comes amidst rumors of division in the Jubilee party over the contraband sugar and corruption menace in the country.
Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has also accused the president’s office of fighting the deputy president William Ruto causing more wrangles in the party.
On his part, Ruto has disputed the division allegations urging the “agents of division” to leave Jubilee alone.
