Celebrated political analyst Barrack Muluka has observed that either Kalonzo Musyoka or Alfred Mutua will die politically.
The analyst opined that Machakos gubernatorial outcome will be suicidal to one of the Ukambani political heavyweights. The two will be showcasing their might on August 8, after Wiper fielded former CCU boss Wavinya Ndeti to unseat Mutua.
The Machakos incumbent was elected as a governor on a Wiper Democratic Movement party ticket. He however ditched the Kalonzo Musyoka led outfit.
He formed Maendeleo Chap Chap which has announced its national venture by fielding candidates all over Kenya. Mutua has also announced his support for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election. Mutua has attacked Wiper leadership of lacking democracy and advocating for poverty in Ukambani. This has forced Musyoka to field Ndeti against Mutua.
Wavinya’s choice has sparked a storm in Wiper which has led to Muthama’s exit. There were complaints of rigging out deputy governor Bernard Kiala.
However, Muluka says that if she wins then the incumbent will go into political limbo. It will be hard for him to redeem his political strength.
According to the analyst Musyoka is also under the same threat if Mutua wins. The Akamba will start viewing MCC leader as a better choice than Kalonzo. They must put all their effort in winning the Machakos gubernatorial seat.
