Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze at a past scene.He has been defended after he openly endorsed the reelection of President Uhuru Kenyatta.A political analyst has jumped to the defence of Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze after he openly endorsed the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta despite being in the opposition.
Gabriel Muthuma while speaking on Sunday that the Nyenze was justified to praise President Kenyatta stating that the president had indeed done extremely well.
"I think much as Nyenze is in the opposition he is right to appreciate the deeds of the president especially on the Standard Gauge Railway which will guarantee jobs to his constituents," he said.
The minority leader was on record on Sunday praising President Kenyatta for having performed extremely well in his four-year stint at the helm of the country.
“Let’s not be swayed by politics of empty rhetoric by those alleging President Uhuru hasn’t worked well. The truth is Uhuru has done a lot and we’ll elect those whose work can be seen” he said.
The sentiments are likely to jolt the opposition which is keen on consolidating its Ukambani voting bloc ahead of the August 8 polls.
The outspoken legislator is however not a stranger to controversial remarks having alleged earlier that the Kamba nation got a raw deal in the National Super Alliance (Nasa)outfit.
