Omanga said Raila is employing tactics that make the country ungovernable and unstable to ascend to power.

“When the government becomes ungovernable he will seek to use public protests to ascend to power and forcefully eject the president under terms of incompetence,” he said.

He added that if Raila was actually in need of change in this country he would have halted the anti-IEBC demonstrations.

“He intends to use such opportunities to taint the image of the government. There will be a public outcry in the case of damages such as Monday killings and he will come out clean under the name of ‘sending IEBC home’ and government killing people,” said Omanga.

He added that he is using the same constitution to attain his interests.

“As a politician who has been in politics during Moi's era knows dialogue cannot work on the issue of IEBC. He knows that the only alternative to the stalemate is the national assembly which he does not yield and would continue to send people to the streets,” he said.

“Raila’s intentions are point blank. He started with SabaSaba to make the country ungovernable but that did not work, now he is using the IEBC stalemate,” he said.
