In a tweet on Monday, the Opinion Court resident political commentator observed that although the leaders are banking on their unity and huge followings to realize national unity, more needs to be done for the dream to materialize.

He observed that the duo has a multitude of about 15 million Kenyans behind them, judging by the concluded August 8 presidential contest, leaving out the remainder of the over 45 million Kenyans.

According to Kisiang'ani, the remaining group is likely to not be convinced by the Odinga-Kenyatta unity and unification campaigns, as they cannot directly relate to them.

''Between President Kenyatta and Raila Odinga we have only 15 million voters. Yet we have 45 million Kenyans. Who speaks for the 30 million in the Uhuru-Raila deal?'' he wondered.

Despite lauding the initiative by the two, the analyst stressed on the need for a more inclusive campaign, suggesting the inclusion of Kenyans from all walks of life.

''Even the youth, children and non voters have some idea on how we can construct a better Kenya. We must accommodate their voices,'' he said in a separate tweet.
