Political analyst Danstan Omari has slammed the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) for pushing Kisumu primaries from Monday to Wednesday.
According to Omari, the move was aimed at benefiting an individual in case the results are disputed since there will be no repeat. This is due to the IEBC timeline for party primaries which is set at Wednesday 26th.
"The postponing of the Kisumu primaries from Monday to Wednesday is in bad faith. The move is aimed at benefiting an individual since a repeat of the elections, if disputed, will not happen due to the IEBC set deadline of Wednesday 26th," said Omari.
Omari further called on ODM and other parties to take care of their aspirants by providing them with the party's registers for the aspirants to evaluate the nomination exercise with the available numbers.
"Parties need to take care of their aspirants by providing them with the party registers. This will ensure that all aspirants are able to evaluate the nomination exercises in the country," added Omari.
Omari made the remarks on Monday during an interview on Citizen TV.
