Opposition coalition Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga has been warned to watch out on his utterances linking the military to rigging.
Odinga has been persistent that the Jubilee administration is keen on roping in the military to aid it in its rigging plans.
On Sunday, political risk analyst Dismas Mokua said it is time Mr Odinga weighed his remarks on the issue since it could easily trigger animosity in the country.
Mokua said Odinga by any standards commands a near fanatical following and his word could be the law to a huge number of his followers who could in turn develop a negative perception towards the military.
"Odinga should make remarks that are verifiable. He commands a near fanatical following and his supporters are likely to buy this idea of the military being involved in rigging.Should that be the case then as a nation we are doomed because we will be staring at an unpopular and divided military," he told KTN News.
Mokua added that the situation could further be aggravated by Odinga's earlier claims on corruption claims that came to pass.
But Mr Odinga has stood his grounds that the Jubilee leadership through Interior CS Fred Matiangi and other senior security officials are scheming on how to use the police and the military to wreak havoc and intimidate opposition supporters.
