[Photo Caption/x254.com.]A political analyst has urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to make peace with Chief Justice David Maraga instead of trying to justify his attacks on the latter before his Abagusii community.Governance and political risk analyst Dismas Mokua on Sunday noted that it was the CJ that the president slighted and not his community and should thus reach out to him instead."Personally I believe the president should apologise to Justice Maraga for calling him and his bench crooks. Much as that may not guarantee him many votes from the Omogusii but it is the most honorable thing to do at the moment," said Mokua.Mokua noted that most Kenyans who are not necessarily from the Kisii community felt offended by the president's brazen attack on the judiciary and would most likely cast a protest vote against Uhuru to express their disapproval should he fail to retract his sentiments and apologise.Shortly after the Supreme Court nullified the August 8 presidential polls that declared him the winner, a visibly angry Uhuru slammed the judges as crooks and accused them of subverting the will of the people. However, the president has since said that he has no qualms with Maraga's kinsmen but has a problem with his September 1 historic ruling which he has continuously criticized.
