The rivalry in National Super Alliance has escalated to uncontrollable levels after Mudavadi diehards chose to go the Nyenze way.
The ANC leader supporters from the rich vote basket of Mulembe have vowed that it has to be Mudavadi or they face President Kenyatta independently.
They complained about NASA’s proposal to field the 2013 lineup of Raila Odinga deputized by Kalonzo Musyoka. Their leader Musalia Mudavadi has been promised a yet to be formed Chief Minister Slot. The protesters also said CORD has to produce one candidate to join Mudavadi who is the mother of NASA.
“As the Luhya Nation and ANC the fraternity, we’re giving an ultimatum to the NASA principals that we shall not accept anything else than the Presidency; the issue of Chief Minister is a non-issue because it is not even enshrined in the Constitution of Kenya. We are saying we want a constitutional office and the constitutional office that the Luhya Nation is eying is the Presidecncy,” said one protestor.
The crowd demanded respect from Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula for accommodating them in NASA.
“You cannot come to somebody’s house and enter the bedroom. CORD should produce one candidate and as the owners of the house (NASA) our person is Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi,” one supporter demanded.
