ANC party has denied claims that the party is headed to join Cord ahead of the 2017 elections.

The party's secretary general, Geoffrey Osotsi in a statement refuted the claims and said that ANC is an opposition party that is not associated with Cord in any way.  

He added that ANC is ready for the 2017 elections and currently there are no talks between the party and any other coalition or party to join hands ahead of the 2017 elections. 

He accused Jubilee and Cord leaders of spreading false information through social media and the media itself that ANC is joining either of the two coalitions.
