Amani National Congress (ANC) Party leader Musalia Mudavadi has said his party has not joined the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) as being speculated in some sections of the media.

Mudavadi during an interview on Citizen TV on Tuesday clarified that ANC is working independently and has no plans of joining Cord or any other colaition.

Mudavadi said that his party only supports Cord idea of reforming the IEBC.

“I want to clarify that ANC has not joined Cord as some people are speculating,” he said.

Mudavadi indicated that his party is working on its manifesto ahead of the 2017 elections.

He further stated that he will be on the ballot paper come 2017 contest with other aspirants who will be vying for the top seat.

Mudavadi at the same time said that he will work with Cord only if Raila supports his presidential bid.

There are claims that Raila is wooing Mudavadi to join Cord ahead of 2017.

“If Raila and Cord supports my candidature in 2017 then I might consider working with them,” he said.
