A section of Amani National Congress (ANC) officials are set to be fired over corruption allegations during the just concluded nominations.
ANC has admitted that its officials engaged in malpractices and compromised the credibility of the primaries.
According to the party, the officials collected hundreds of thousands of shillings from aspirants, promising to give them party tickets.
Sources close to the matter revealed to a local daily that some of the aspirants extended sexual favours to the officers in an attempt to secure the ticket.
The party Secretary General, Godfrey Osotsi, has now directed all branches to initiate appropriate legal action to replace the officials.
"We are a democratic party and by this action we’re not punishing the truant officials but releasing them to pursue their political persuasions at this critical time." Osotsi stated.
