Opposition's Amani National Congress (ANC) nominated Member of Parliament Godfrey Osotsi has lashed out at the party leader Musalia Mudavadi over his recent attacks on opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Coming amid a fallout within the National Super Alliance (NASA), with Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula threatening to expel Odinga over his recent truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta, Osotsi termed the move as a miscalculation.
Speaking during a fundraiser at Nyasita Secondary School in Alego Usonga, Siaya county on Friday, Osotsi noted that the former Prime Minister commands the biggest support in the opposition, observing that his exit will render the duo irrelevant.
"There is no way they can purport to be the owners of NASA and threaten to expel some of the leaders from the alliance," he said.
"They should realize that their future lies in Raila Odinga and stop attacking him. They cannot survive without him," claimed Osotsi.
The duo is yet to approve the recent reconciliation between the former Prime Minister and the head of state, citing exclusion, despite sitting in the NASA summit.
They are also opposed to Wetangula's recent ouster as the Senate Minority leader.
The Bungoma Senator was kicked out by Odinga's dominant Orange Democratic Party (ODM) senators over poor conduct.
Osotsi, Kakamega Senator Cleopa Malala and his Vihiga counterpart George Khaniri have since earned the tag "rebels" over their anti-Mudavadi remarks and campaigns.
