Opposition party Amani National Congress (ANC) is firmly in NASA, Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala has said.

Malala said claims that ANC plans to join Jubilee are rumours peddled by cartels in the party out to make money from the ruling party.

“We warn the ANC cartels to desist from this activity lest we name them in two weeks,” Malala who addressed the media in Kakamega on Sunday said.

He attributed the claims to Lugari MP Ayub Savula who he said is not ANC’s spokesperson.

Savula on Saturday urged opposition Chief Raila Odinga to abandon his ‘swearing in’ bid and, instead, focus on grooming ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi for the presidency in 2022.

The legislator asked Raila to forget the presidency and “put all his eggs in Mudavadi’s basket”.

“Raila should forget this swearing in business because, even in the incident that he swears himself into office, he will still lack the instrument of power, which is held by President Uhuru Kenyatta,” said Savula.

“Swearing himself in will only serve to tarnish his image, he will only become another case of Uganda’s Kizza Besigye.”
