Amani National Congress (ANC) party secretary general Godfrey Osotsi has hit out at the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) for fielding candidates in ANC’s perceived stronghold.
Osostsi cautioned the ODM party against competing with ANC’s nominees in Vihiga county.
He said his party leader Musalia Mudavadi had sacrificed his presidential ambitions to allow the Orange party leader Raila Odinga to fly the National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential flag and therefore asked ODM to compel its candidates to step down in Western region. .
“Our ODM colleagues should not have fielded nominees in ANC strongholds of Western, especially in Vihiga. Why should ODM compete with ANC in this region?” Osostsi wondered.
Speaking at Ivona Primary School, Vihiga county, Saturday, during the launch of Sabatia MP Alfred Agoi’s manifesto, Osostsi asked the locals to vote for Raila as the president but elect ANC’s hopefuls in the other political seats.
“We are campaigning and we will vote for Raila as our president, but the rest should be ANC,” he added.
