Naivasha residents have expressed their dissatisfaction over poor drainage works being undertaken in the area.
Karagita, Kihoto and Kamere estate residents claim drainage project being executed by a contractor under World Bank, is responsible for flooding following ongoing heavy rains.
"We are living in fear of outbreak of cholera as sewage waste is finding its way to our houses. The situation is a major risk not only to children but also to the adults," a resident told Sunday Nation.
Assistant John Opondo said the contractor should address the menace as locals were suffering.
"Families have been forced to spend the night in the cold after their houses were submerged," Opondo lamented.
