The Anglican Church in Kisii has unveiled a new plan to assist unemployed youths by starting their own business.
The diocese head Reverend John Omangi, yesterday said that the church had already constructed more than 40 stalls at a cost of Sh4 million, which will be let out to youth groups.
Reverend Omangi said there was a need for the county leaders to address the soaring unemployment rates among the youth in the entire Kisii region.
He also added that unemployment among the youth remains a challenge to the upcoming scholars in the county, hence, the challenge needs to be addressed with speed as many youths are suffering.
