Rev Baya as the bishop of the Anglican Church of Kenya, Mombasa Diocese.It was all joy as Bishop Kalu passed the baton to his successor Bishop Baya in the auspicious ceremony presided over by the Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit."As a member of the church, I urge the family of the Christ in Mombasa Anglican Diocese to unite. We are made one through Christ who loved us. Each one of us is an organ of the body of Christ. We have no choice but to work together to ensure His Eminence the Bishop succeeds in his mission as a prince of the church in Mombasa," said Kingi who was accompanied by Likoni MP Mishi Mboko."The county of Mombasa also celebrates with the church today, we celebrate the many gifts the Lord has given us;the gift of harmony among our diverse peoples and their faiths. We celebrate the good work of the church in bringing the people together. I urge all of us to come together and support the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ," he added on Sunday.
