Mombasa governor has accused the Jubilee administration of training the military at a selected school in preparation to rigging the elections.
Speaking at his Mombasa offices on Saturday evening, the governor said he has received reliable information that soldiers are getting election-rigging training at a school in Shanzu ward.
He said the soldiers have been seen moving in and out of the school compound as they gear up efforts ahead of the August 8 polls.
"Food is seen being taken to the men at intervals,” he said.
Accompanied by MPs Badi Twalib (Jomvu), Abdulswamad Shariff (Mvita), Nyali MP aspirant Said Abdalla and ODM's Mombasa chairperson Mohammed Hatimy, Joho said the opposition is only demanding credible elections from the government and IEBC.
"What we want is a free and fair elections," Joho said.
"We don't want a repeat of what we saw during the Malindi by-election last year," he added.
"Kenya is not a failed state to use the military in elections."
