With much expected to have been done in combating litter in the city after Governor Mike Sonko took reigns at City Hall, Nairobians seem unhappy with their governor.

Even though Sonko posts photos and updates of his Sonko Rescue Team brushing through estates in clean-up exercises, Nairobi residents say not enough is being done.

They have blamed Sonko on his style of cleaning up the city saying it will only result in a dirtier Nairobi.

"Just passed through Eastleigh that part of the city is total mess, matatus, hawkers. Garbage disposal every where, garisa Lodge, sewage water, Sonko do impromptu visit. your guys are lying to you with photos," said Wilson Gachuhi.

"Nairobi is not gonna be clean until we see people being taken to court for dumping. All efforts will be futile. We need clear laws , we need law enforcers to ensure no dumping. People should be given a 4 months contract for garbage collection , if the don't meet the standards, then they should go. Mr. Governor we need a clean and orderly Nairobi. You promised us that and we believed in you, we still do," said Jessey Gitz.

"You are the reason I woke up on 8/8 because I wanted to see you occupy that office. I was tired with Kidero's leadership, you were my best option for that office. Mr. Governor you still have a lot to do to convince me. Let me leave you to work and assume it's still early to start criticizing," said Ondari Bonmax.

"Governor when shall we stop seeing sonko rescue team and start seeing Nairobi county employees? I believe we need to have some uniformity in the cadre if employees doing the city works," said Mary Mbura.

"Ile shonde ya jacaranda men! You showed us what you are good at. I will never take you serious again. Am very disappointed in you," said Milton Murunga.
