During a session on Wednesday, the MCAs lamented to the Speaker how several issues raised to the Governor Lee Kinyanjui-led administration had not been responded to.

During the House business, it emerged that the chairperson Committee on Lands, Housing and Physical Planning was to issue a statement requested by MCA Daniel Mutai concerning public land allocated for the construction of ECD, a community church and a dispensary at Salgaa trading centre.

However, the executive had not responded to the matter. MCAs questioned why the departmental heads in the executive were failing to provide such crucial information.

Other statements that were not availed included a statement from the committee on Labor and Social Welfare concerning recruitment of village elders, a request made by MCA Jackson Githua, statement  from committee on Culture, Sports and Community services  concerning the number of NGOs operating within Nakuru county and their areas of operation.

The angered MCAs claimed the executive was hindering the house business by not availing such crucial information.

“I know Mr. Speaker that NGOs are crucial for the society and some people may fail to understand that. We have sought statement on the same but we were told that the CEC in charge is in Makueni. But we know there are people in office who should respond to that and therefore we hope on 19th there will be a statement,“   said MCA Kiragu, the chair committee on Culture, Sports and Community services.
