A day after Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula accused Raila Odinag of blackmail, the ODM leader has hit back through his lieutenants.

An isolated Wetangula dismissed Raila's presidential chances in 2022 adding that he no longer commands Luhya votes.

"He has started feeling the heat and the divorce has become messy and noisy. I know he is planning to run in 2022 and we are now ready to deal with him," he said.

Further, Wetangula said that the unity pact between ANC and Ford Kenya would sail through despite Raila's opposition.

Buth through ODM Secretary Genenal Edwin Sifuna, Senator Cleophas Malala of Kakamega and ANC's Godfrey Osotsi, Raila insists that Wetangula is a busybody who want to fall with him.

"Wetangula's statement is in familiar and tired mode of sinking politicians attacking Raila as their only way to stay politically afloat.

"The entire Luhya nation knows that Wetangula is a non issue even in his own Bungoma County after the January 30th cowardice. He remains a non issue without backing Raila," they said.

They three leaders further said that the entire Western region is behind Raila and that he does not need a broker to reach them.

In his statement, Wetangula insisted that Raila's fortunes in western region had dwindled adding that people no longer attends his rallies.
