Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko on Monday came out angrily to protest the ongoing reports that Jubilee is planning to endorse Eugene Wamalwa for Nairobi governor in 2017.
A visibly angry Sonko said there are people misleading the ‘system’ about who should run for Nairobi top job.
Sonko said if Jubilee decides to endorse Wamalwa, ‘he will go to the people’.
“Just like it happened in Makadara, if Jubilee gives the ticket to Wamalwa without going to the primaries the same will happen here. I will just go to the people,” he said.
Sonko also revealed that during the 2013 presidential election, the National Intelligence Service (NIS), now National Security Intelligence Service (NSIS), advised former President Mwai Kibaki on who should become the next president.
“Just like NIS misled Kibaki that Mudavadi should be the next President but Uhuru won. The same will happen,” he said.
