Days after surviving election petition challenge, MPs now want Kirinyaga governor Ann Waiguru investigated yet again over the loss of Sh9 billion from NYS.
Also under siege are former Devolution CS Mwangi Kiunjuri and his Health counterpart Cecily Kariuki along with former Director Nelson Githinji among others.
MPs Mohammed Ali (Nyali), Caleb Amisi (Saboti) and Tindi Mwale of Butere insisted that Waiguru should take responsibility over the loss of money in the NYS department.
"If among the owners are state and public officers, then this should be taken seriously. Waiguru is among those who benefited from the illegal payments," said Ali.
Mr. Mwale on his part said: "The president must stop these sideshows and just go for the big fish who are still walking free."
But Waiguru has since threatened to sue the MPs arguing that their press statement amounts to defamation.
This comes at a time a Nairobi court freed 47 suspects on bail after the state failed to give substantive evidence over the loss of Sh9 billion.
