Three people sustained injuries after a police chopper crashed near the Kenya School of Monetary Studies along Thika Superhighway.

According to the Star, the Police Air Wing craft reportedly stalled in the air for some time before it lost control and crashed.

"The plane stalled in the air for some 10 minutes then the pilot tried to go back but it crashed," said a witness as quoted by the Star.

The three were immediately rushed to hospital.

This comes barely hours after a light aircraft burst into flames at the Naivasha Airstrip, killing a woman and injuring five others.
