Just a day after the Supreme Court upheld President Uhuru Kenyatta's reelection, NASA leader Raila Odinga has suffered another blow after court dismissed his bid for a lifestyle audit on Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru.

While ruling on the matter, High Court judge Joseph Sergon on Tuesday said Raila's application lacked merit.

The judge said that though the former Devolution CS had not responded fully to the queries Raila demanded, the explanation she gave was already satisfactory.

"I am satisfied the plaintiff respondent to the interrogatories in accordance with the provisions of Section 22 (a) of the Civil Procedure Act and Order 11 Rules 3 Cap 2 of the civil procedure rules," the Judge said.

Raila's war with Waiguru began in 2015 after he linked her to the Sh1.8 billion NYS scandal.

Waiguru sued Raila on September 29, 2015 saying he had recklessly tarnished her name.

But Raila then released a dossier alleging how Kenya lost millions of shillings under Waiguru's watch.

He then filed the application for Wauguru's lifestyle audit.
