President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto stand a better chance of retaining their posts after three Jubilee governors pledged to deliver 1.7 million votes to their basket ahead of the fresh polls.

The three- Jackson Mandago, his Nandi counterpart Stephen Sang and Alex Tolgos of Elgeyo Marakwet, have said that they will conduct door to door campaigns to ensure that Uhuru beats National Super Alliance (NASA ) Leader Raila Amolo Odinga in the rerun.

This is after the Supreme Court under the leadership of Chief David Maraga nullified the outcome of the August at the presidential level, citing irregularities and illegalities on the side of IEBC.

Trio called upon all elected leaders as well as losers to stand together to ensure Jubilee carries the day.

“All Jubilee MPs, senators, MCAs and woman representatives will hit the campaign trail. We urge voters to support the President and the DP, “Sang said while addressing Nandi county assembly on Tuesday, as quoted by  The Star.

On their past, Mandago and Tolgos said that they are committed to ensuring that there is no voter apathy during the fresh polls by competing among themselves

“We will even compete among ourselves to ensure we have a good turnout,” Tolgos stated.
