Less than a week after a student was raped at the Moi Girls High school, Nairobi, another class 8 girl from Laikipia's Slopes View academy has been allegedly raped by a male teacher.
According to police officers, the heinous act happened to the young girl on June 2 in the wee hours of the morning when the students were out for their morning preps.
The suspected male teacher was on duty that day and had ordered the victim to go back to the dormitory while her peers headed for preps it is then that it is alleged that he followed the girl from behind and raped her.
However, the distressed girl kept mum, until Sunday when the teachers summoned her mother to school because she had been weeping uncontrollably. In the presence of her mother and teachers, the girl narrated how she was defiled.
The male teacher managed to escape after getting wind that the minor had exposed his evil act, confirming the incident Naro Moru police boss Mr Job Lesikinwa said they have launched a manhunt for the teacher.
The girl was taken to a nearby hospital and lucky for her she tested negative for pregnancy and STDs.
