The board of the Kenya Airways is expected to determine by next year whether to extend the contracts of five Polish experts who had been hired by the carriers Chief Executive officer.
In an interview with a local daily, Kenya Airways Board Chairman, Michael Joseph said that the five top-flight managers will be returning back to Poland and therefore the board will have to decide on their fate come next year.
“They return to Poland in the next few days. A new decision will be made early next year,” Joseph said as quoted by the Business Daily.
The five senior managers are Edyta Kijewska-Teny, Monika Kieltyka-Michna, Magdalena Serwach, Marcin Celejwski and Michal Mierciak, all of whom were employees of LOT Polish Airlines together with the current KQ CEO Sabastian Mikosz.
In addition, Mr. Joseph showed satisfaction with the work done by the five high-class managers but declined to hint whether their contracts will be extended saying that the board will decide.
“I am happy with their contribution so far. This (decision to rehire them) will be a board decision in due course,” Joseph added.
Mr. Mikosz had told journalists that the five managers were very instrumental in reviving LOT Polish Airlines and hoped they will reciprocate the same at KQ
