[Photo|DPPS]The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), is scheduled to meet presidential candidates, Tuesday.The Commission made the announcement, to meet Jubilee Party presidential candidate Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA coalition's Raila Odinga, at 9am."We meet with the presidential candidates today," IEBC posted on its social media accounts.The meeting comes barely a week after a similar meeting flopped, at the Bomas of Kenya, after both sides stood firm with their demands.Jubilee was represented by Secretary-General Raphael Tuju, Senate Deputy Speaker Kithure Kindiki, Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen, among others.NASA was represented by Executive Director Norman Magaya, Siaya Senator James Orengo, among others.NASA is decrying Jubilee's proposed Electoral Laws Amendments and irreducible minimums, that IEBC should implement before the fresh October 26 presidential election, while Jubilee wants Nasa to drop the demands.The meeting also comes a day after IEBC held another meeting with EU and US envoys.They called on IEBC and both sides of the political divide to demonstrate leadership, strengthen Kenya’s democracy, and build the country’s international prestige.
