NTV has lost one of its youngest talents on the news anchoring bench.
Just a week after NTV Weekend Edition news anchor Victoria Rubadiri moved out of the Aga Khan owned TV brand, entertainment news anchor Kimani Mbugua has also left.
Kimani, a Moi University graduate revealed of his exit through his Twitter handle. He noted that his three-year stay at the Kimathi Street based station has been an amazing one.
“Leaving @ntvkenya after three awesome years at the @NationMediaGrp, this home will be missed together with all who made this young boy's dreams possible. Sasa naenda ivi nakam,” he said.
Kimani Mbugua first featured at Nation Centre through a varsity reality radio show on Nation FM dubbed Vocal Nation. He together with his co-host Aileen Atieno Mboya displayed great potential on radio before NMG decided to shut the radio station, Q FM and Q TV.
By the time the three outlets were being put off, Vocal Nation had not reached its climax to arrive at a winner. Nevertheless, the lad, who is ever overflowing of a gentleman’s charm made his entry at Nation Centre against a stiff competition of participants from over six other universities across the country.
At one point, before making a debut as the Entertainment News anchor played the role of a Digital Producer at NTV.
