The County's environmentalist Executive noted that separating various waste products will ease collection as well as recycling as pointed out by the Swedish waste management representatives.
In order to make the collection process run smoothly, the administration has engaged over 100 employees on a temporary basis.
"A committee that will spearhead the collection and sorting of waste products is in place, " said Njogu who asked committee members to work closely with her docket to make garbage collection a success.
She further disclosed that after the collection, sampling will be done before the recycling process begins. This will see a continuous recycling process and according to acting Managing Director of the Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company (ELDOWAS) Jimmy Kemboi who accompanied the team, the company will work with the County Government on all issues of sewage and drainage systems.
The recycling plant apart from managing solid waste, it is also set to produce energy. Eldoret town produces 350-400 tonnes of waste products daily.
