National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate, Raila Amolo Odinga fight to ascend to power has been marred with endless challenges. Raila, however, has a reason to smile after The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) opposed the proposed electoral law amendments, Star reports.According to the local daily, the commission is expected to give it thoughts on the amendments this morning (Wednesday). The laws have continued to attract mixed reactions from different factions across the nation.

The opposition has compared the move by the opposition to changing the rules of the game at halftime. Led by Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga, the leaders have said that they will not take part in the election if their demands are not met.A commissioner who spoke on condition of anonymity told the local daily that Jubilee needs to avoid targeting it and wait until the election is conducted before the party can make such changes to the law. The commission also argued that they are of the point that the post of the chairman of IEBC to be made executive avoid such issues in the near future."The commission believes that instead of targeting the (IEBC) chair or any individual while amending the law, Jubilee should wait for the election to be done and a comprehensive review was undertaken.

In fact, we believe the chair's position should be made executive since and commissioners are involved in operational issues," a commissioner said, as quoted by the local daily.
