Raila Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has lost another Member of Parliament.
Karachuonyo legislator James Rege has quit the Orange party for Jubilee.
Rege said he was fed up with the ODM as it had failed to uphold internal democracy.
"I have resolved to cross over to Jubilee Alliance and I have no regret over the decision," he said.
Rege joins a growing list of ODM rebels who have disclosed intent to quit the party.
Not long ago, Budalang'i MP Ababu Namwamba and his Funyula counterpart Paul Otuoma resigned as ODM secretary general and vice chairman respectively.
Mr Rege said the law allowed him to associate with a political group of his choice.
The rebellion by a section of ODM legislators prompted Raila to hold a week-long rally in Western Kenya in a bid to restore support for the opposition party.
