Slightly a day after MPs Ben Momanyi (Wiper) and Vincent Kemosi (Ford Kenya) backed appointment of Fred Matiang'i to cabinet, another MP has joined the bandwagon.
On Friday, Matiang'i was one of six ministers who survived axe by President Uhuru Kenyatta as he reconstitutes his administration.
And Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka has termed Matiangi's appointment as 'honor' to Gusii community.
"Whether or not NASA will take over, I think Matiang'i was perfect in government. That was an honour to Abagusii.
"He has lifted our reputation by reforming key sectors in the country and I support the president's nomination," he said.
Contrary to many people's expectations however, Matiang'i was shifted to Interior Ministry instead of the education docket.
