Slightly a week after Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama dissociated himself from Raila Odinga's swearing-in, another ODM governor has indicated ditching the party.
For weeks now, Raila has been struggling to stamp his authority among elected members with so far a number of them having already left.
"We cannot have two presidents at a point and this is the time that Raila should consider embracing dialogue. Uhuru Kenyatta is president," Nyagarama said.
But in what is believed to be early preparations ahead of 2022, leaders from Western Kenya elected on ODM ticket have indicated plans to join rival ANC to solidify Musalia Mudavadi's bid.
And Vihiga governor Wilberforce Ottichillo now says he will join ANC for the sake of solidifying Mudavadi's quest.
"We have supported ODM and Raila for long time and its now our time to stamp our authority. We have numbers to make Mudavadi the president with little support from other regions," he said.
Ottichillo was first elected on ODM to represent Emuhaya constituency in 2008 after election of Kenneth Marende as Speaker.
