Kibra residents on Sunday took to the streets, to protest the arrest of National Resistance Movement General Miguna Miguna.
Carrying anti-Jubilee government and Miguna-support placards, they demanded for the immediate release of Dr. Miguna Miguna, saying the court had ordered for his release.
Almost two days after a Court Order was issued for his release, police are still keeping him in custody.
On Friday, residents in Kibra also took to the streets, demanding for the unwarranted release of the former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate who was arrested after administering an oath to NASA leader Raila Odinga during his controversial swearing-in on January 30.
The NASA coalition on Friday requested all of its supporters in Kiambu County and its environs to urgently make way to Githunguri Police Station to help give safe passage Miguna Miguna.
Nasa said police took Dr Miguna by design to Githunguri following his arrest yet the alleged offence he was being charged with occurred in Nairobi.
Nasa reported that Jubilee supporters had been hired to frustrate Miguna the moment he is released from the station, given that NASA enjoys little support from Kiambu county.
"The High Court has ordered for Dr. Miguna's release yet the officers at the station allege that they are awaiting orders from above. The plan is to release him under the cover of darkness when he'll be an easy target for attack as organised by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu," said NASA on Friday.
