Car owners associated with Kenya Orient insurance have now vowed to boycott every service offered by the company if they implement Probox insurance ban.

According to Kisii Matatu Owners Association chairperson Doel Onsando, some of its members have received notice from Orient insurance to look for another alternative insurance to cover their Probox vehicles without giving them detailed reason to why they decided so.

"We've been insuring most of our vehicles with Orient insurance and if they won't cater for any Probox, therefore, we will have no option but quit working with them by simply boycotting all their service and sort for new insurer that will have our interest at heart," said Onsando

Their sentiments comes barely a day after Kenya Orient insurance flagged the Probox model from their insuring list after raising concerns that there is the high cost of insuring the car especially in areas rural areas.

In a circular that some of the car owners have received the firm argued that Toyota Probox is accident prone due to what they termed careless handling.
