Coalition of Reforms and Democracy (CORD) have received yet another big blow after one of its members of Parliament decamped and joined Jubilee camp.
Yatta Member of Parliament Francis Mwangangi has declared his intention to work with Jubilee. Mwangangi who was elected on Muungano Party ticket despite the region seen as wiper party zone.
He now says he's ready again to beat his competitors without the backing of Cord coalition. “I showed in 2013 that I do not need to be in Cord to win in a Cord zone,” he said.
The MP said he's joining Jubilee because it has a good development agenda for his region, despite the people not voting for them in 2013.
“The Jubilee Coalition has shown that it is keen on development despite the region and voting patterns from the previous election and that is why I am voting for them come 2017,” he added.
