Mwingi residents on Tuesday torched another vehicle that was reportedly found ferrying charcoal.

The Probox was found transporting charcoal to unknown destination.

The incident occurred a day after angry Limuru residents held a demo on Monday along the Nakuru-Nairobi highway lamenting the burning of a lorry in a past incident in Kitui.

The lorry belonged to a businessman who hails from the area.

The protestors accused Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu of inciting residents against business people involved in legal trade.

Ngilu has however denied claims of incitement.

She said her focus is environmental conservation.
