Judge George Kimondo nullified Keter's victory following a petition filed by his closest challenger, Bernard Kibor, a close ally of the DP.

"Having scrutinized evidence before me, I can ascertain beyond doubt that the second respondent committed various electoral offences," he noted as he sent Keter packing.

And moments after, supporters of Keter could be heard chanting "Yote yawezekana bila Ruto" loosely translated as 'They can manage it without DP Ruto'.

Addressing his supporters, a defiant Keter insisted that his tribulations are schemed by corrupt cartels adding that he will communicate the next course of action.

"I expected this and it does not come by any surprise. I am fighting big wars specially on corruption and cartels wants me down," he said.

Last year, Keter defied DP Ruto's directive and ran for Labour committee leadership only to be ousted weeks later following a presidential directive.

Along with him were other perceived Rift Valley rebels Johanna Ng'eno (Emurua Dikir) and Silas Tiren of Moiben.
