They say their efforts bore fruits after a long struggle and effort from the locals owing it to patience and perseverance.

This is after IEBC was disbanded and a select committee was formed to address the IEBC stalemate.

“We are happy that finally our efforts paid off after a long struggle. I can say we achieved one of our goals and we hope for the best in 2017. What matters is free and fair elections that leave Kenyans satisfied,” said Lawrence Nyachoya.

They say the move will ensure there is free and fair elections and cleansing of the electoral body that will go far away to the coming general elections.

“Imagine a situation where Kenyans don’t trust the outcome of the electoral body. This would mean something else. You remember what we experienced in 2007 as a result of incompetent electoral body. We don’t want to see a repeat. We are happy with the outcome,” said Derrick Nyangau.
