Unarmed youths paralyzed transport along Mosobeti-Keroka road for the better part of Wednesday morning over lawyer Miguna Miguna's tribulations.
For he entire period, they blocked the major highway, chanting anti- Fred Matiang'i slogans, whom they accused of subverting justice.
Led by Vincent Onsoti, the angry youths demanded immediate release of Miguna, whom they claim is a Kenyan citizen by birth.
"Matiang'i should read the constitution and understand it. A person born in Kenya cannot apply for citizenship as long as he is a holder of National ID," he said.
The youth leader added: "For the country to heal, Miguna must be released unconditionally. That is the only why peace can make sense."
However normalcy was restored after they dispersed moments after making their point heard by authorities.
"They have a right to protest as long as they don't interfere with some other people's freedoms," said Gesima assistant county commissioner Veronica Wangui.
