Hundreds of supporters of embattled Borabu MP Ben Momanyi thronged in the streets of Nyamira to condemn ODM leader Raila Odinga for allegedly sabotaging the latter's quest to join powerful PSC.
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka had cleared Momanyi to be nominated to the committee, a move that ODM wing has since blocked.
"Raila should stop meddling in Wiper issues. We are a party recognised by Standing Orders. He should stick with his ODM," said Momanyi.
Protesters who carried twigs demanded that the ODM leader authorizes inclusion of Momanyi to the committee unconditionally.
But in Nairobi, NASA forwarded names of Mutula Kilonzo (Wiper), Gladys Wanga (ODM) and Aisha Jumwa (ODM) and the three are expected to be presented for voting.
"If Momanyi will not be absorbed then we don't have business with Raila. He should keep off Nyamira," said John Kebaso, a local civil rights activist.
A defiant Momanyi could however get backing from Jubilee legislators given that his name had been fronted by Wiper party.
