Hundreds of Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula's sympathisers thronged into streets of Kitale to demand his reinstatement.
At Nairobi on Tuesday, 19 senators allied to NASA picked Siaya senator James Orengo as Wetangula's replacement, a move that was protested by Ford Kenya.
"No communication has been made with regard to Wetangula's ouster and his removal can only be effected by NASA summit," said Bonnie Khalwale.
For almost one hours, the youths carrying twigs and banners labelled NASA, chanted anti-Raila Odinga slogans before dispersing.
Over the weekend, Kimilili MP Didymas Barasa banned Raila from touring Western region, accusing him of frustrating Wetangula.
"He has been frustrating Luhya leaders and he will remain suspended visiting here until he resolves issues affecting Wetangula," he said.
Although he has repeatedly denied supporting Wetangula's ouster, Raila has however failed to tame ODM senators behind the move.
Trans Nzoia County is the bedrock of Ford Kenya party and is home to one of its founding leader Kijana Wamalwa.
