Kisumu County Commissioner Erastus Ekidor has said that the boarder anti-stock theft committee to end cattle theft witnessed in the area.

While addressing Journalist outside his office, Ekidor said that the anti-stock theft committee comprised members from Nandi, Kericho and Kisumu counties.

"They will ensure they help us in mitigating issue of stock theft. The theft has gone down, but we still want to strengthen and work with all the three communities,” said Ekidor.

He appealed to the business community in Kisumu County to involve security officers while depositing money at the banks.

Commissioner Ekidor said that there has been cases of business men being attacked while depositing money in various banks.

"I appeal to the business community to ask for security personnel to give security while transacting business, especially where money is involved,” said Kisumu County Commissioner adding that some area residents have formed a habit of resisting police arrest, a behaviour he said will not be taken kindly by his team.

"There are instances where members of the public in Winam and Akado in Seme have obstructed police from arresting suspects," said Ekidor.
